Leadership

David DeWire
Co-founder and President
David DeWire is the visionary co-founder and President of NanoFEA, bringing over 30 years of experience in the microelectronics and electronics industries, where he has been leading strategic business development, sales, and marketing initiatives. With a degree in Marketing and International Business from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), David has a proven track record in the development of advanced electronic packaging solutions, including high-reliability packaging for GaN, GaAs, SiC, and LDMOS devices, as well as composite thermal management materials for high-frequency and high-power applications.
David excels at blending technical expertise with strategic business acumen, driving innovation and growth. Prior to co-founding NanoFEA, he served as Vice President of Global Business Development at Hermetic Solutions Group in Trevose, Pennsylvania, which was acquired by Qnnect in 2022. In this role, he spearheaded the DiaCool and DiaTIM thermal management product lines and introduced several product innovations that reshaped the company’s offerings in thermal management and getter technologies for solving electronic package reliability challenges.
An inventor and thought leader, David holds five U.S. patents related to packaging technologies for high-power semiconductor devices, with four additional patents filed and ten published papers. His deep understanding of both the technological landscape and business dynamics continues to drive NanoFEA’s leadership in solving reliability challenges across a range of industries, including microelectronics, semiconductors, energy, and defense.

Hua Xia
Co-founder and CEO
Dr. Hua Xia, co-founder and CEO of NanoFEA, brings over 30 years of exceptional experience in developing advanced engineering materials and nanoporous material-based getter products. He earned his Ph.D. from Nanjing University and completed post-doctoral fellowships at McMaster University (1993), Colorado State University (1995), and The Ohio State University (1998). Since 2001, Dr. Xia has also served as an adjunct professor at the State University of New York, where he supervises Ph.D. students’ research in nanomaterials for gas sensing, as well as theoretical analysis and modeling.
Dr. Xia has had a distinguished career as Chief Scientific Advisor and Chief Scientist at leading organizations, including Qnnect, Hi-Rel Alloys, Pacific Aerospace and Electronics, Hermetic Solution Group, Halliburton, and GE Global Research. His exceptional achievements include receiving the prestigious “GE 2008 Gold Medallion Award” and the “GE 2012 25th Patent Award”. Recognized for blending deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, Dr. Xia has been at the forefront of developing innovative materials and products. His pioneering work has led to over 130 US and international patents and more than 100 scientific publications, transforming the application of nanomaterials to solve complex reliability challenges, particularly in scavenging outgassed gaseous and particulate emissions from microelectronic and electronic packages.
